Happy Holidays!

With barely 2 months left before Christmas, let me give you a run down on my forecast for Christmas 2012 taking inspiration from runway fashion trends to create a stylish festivity.

Out with the dark green Christmas Tree. In with blue to blue-green hues, gold and white / silver.

Play around with this color scheme like opting for silver decorations over a golden base; blue ornaments over white / silver, gold embellishments over blue, and so on.

If you’re still on the conservative side and would like to stick with green, choose a shade lighter like yellow green.

If you are bold enough, you may use black trimmings.

Or an unusual design altogether like those made of recycled materials such as bottles and cardboard.

It’s good to use frosted materials that are translucent just like ice carvings and pastel shades like lilac, baby pink, lemon yellow and baby blue.

Other themes to try include Cartoon characters / plushies, fruits (the design can extend until New Year) and sweets (cupcakes and candies). ◘
