Plains and Prints Barbie Collection

I remember how I was so fascinated with Barbie dolls when I was younger. I would spend the afternoon with my cousin dressing up Barbie and mimic real life situations such as relaxing at home, doing grocery shopping, traveling around the city, and the like (well, you get what I mean).

Now that I'm a grown-up, my key takeaway from playing Barbie is definitely her fashion sense. I got so excited when I learned that Plains and Prints (P&P), a leading clothing brand in the Philippines, will collaborate with Barbie on their newest collection aptly called as "Dolled Up for the Holidays".

For a quick preview, a pop up store was installed at SM Megamall last October 18 - it also served as the official launch of Barbie x Plains and Prints.

Too bad, I was not able to pay a visit (I was just infront of my monitor browsing through whatever has transpired during the event).

The event was hosted by Lia Cruz and was attended by Anne Curtis-Smith (brand ambassador/endorser), noted fashion bloggers and P&P cardholders/partners.

An interactive flatlay area was setup where guests could mix and match miniature items.

The pop up store also had a life-size doll box and a room with pink interiors (sofa, closet, etc...)

A notable launch, it had all the sweet treats all girls would fall for.

Here's a complete look of the collection.

I presume that each purchase comes with a bongo box.

A Barbie memorabilia will also be given (minimum P10K single receipt purchase).

I personally love the Soda Shop dress (polka dots), Chinoiserie Red Barbie dress (all pink, oriental), Winter Concert Barbie dress (bow, floral) and the Teenage Fashion Model barbie dress (stripes).

They will be out in stores on November 7.

What do you think?
